Hello friends. My name is Dr. (h.c. DD) James Steele. I am the founder of Northshore Amore...and I love LOVE!
I’ve spent much of my adult life observing relationships—my own and those around me—and learning what helps love grow and what causes it to quietly fade. Like many people, I’ve experienced relationships that didn’t work, moments of deep connection, and periods of personal growth that came from reflecting on both.
Over time, it became clear to me that strong relationships aren’t built by chance. They’re built through intention, communication, nurturing, shared experiences, and having the right support at the right moments. Too often, people are expected to magically find time in our busy lives or “just know” how to plan perfect moments, even though no one is ever really taught.
Northshore Amore was created to help fill that gap—by designing meaningful experiences that create memories, strengthen connection and bring people closer.
In addition to my work designing romantic experiences, I am a licensed non-denominational Minister and wedding officiant legally authorized to perform wedding ceremonies, as well as an Advanced Certified Mediator (non-attorney) with over a decade of mediation experience. I also hold 5 university academic degrees, 2 advanced academic degrees as well as an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity.
My approach is grounded, respectful, inclusive, creative, custom and sometimes a bit audacious. Whether officiating a wedding, guiding a difficult conversation, or helping plan an important moment, my focus is always on creating an environment where people feel safe, heard, understood, supported and delighted.
At the heart of Northshore Amore is a simple philosophy: Love thrives when it is nurtured with intention.
That means slowing down, being intentional, communicating honestly, and creating space for meaningful moments of connection. It also means acknowledging that conflict is a normal part of relationships—and that learning how to navigate it early and in healthy ways can make all the difference and actually strengthen the relationship.
